What’s interesting is that Clint is a Republican. When I saw the ad, I must admit, that it never occurred to me that it had anything to do with Obama. Instead, I viewed it as a positive for America on its own. I’m always rooting for the American car companies because it’s such a huge part of our heritage…………..and with the foreign companies having come here and taken such a sizable chunk, I’m always glad to see them doing well.
I’m not happy with how it was done, but I do believe that in the big scheme of things and in the long run, our country will be better off with 3 strong car companies. The trickle down effect of a strong American automobile industry is far reaching.

As a devout Catholic, I try to find good in everyone and I rarely dislike anyone. Update regarding freedom of religion currently under attach by the Obama Administration:
I had posted some remarks last week that were somewhat ambiguous regarding wording from the Obama administration on freedom of religion. I now have something more specific.
Hillary Clinton was the first person to use a phrase. And, you have to remember that the Clintons and most left-wingers use wording that you indeed have to parse. Remember when she was on one of the morning talk shows when Bill was accused of an inappropriate relationship with a WH intern. She blamed it on a “vast right wing conspiracy” against her husband. The questioner asked her if it were true if that would be a problem and Hillary’s answer was, “that will not be proven true” – (without knowing of the blue dress). She – at that time – thought that it was another bimbo eruption and that it was a ‘he-said, she-said’ situation and that it couldn’t be proven.
So, she was the first person to use the phrase “freedom of worship.” Obama has used it. Now, that is not the same as freedom of religion. What are the differences?
Freedom of worship is a privatized understanding – keep it indoors. You have the freedom to practice your faith inside your home or in a church or synagogue.
Freedom of religion is what our Constitution guarantees. That means that you have a public right to evangelize, to speak from the pulpit on moral issues, to have a nativity scene outside, etc.
Obama is a secularist. He and those like him would say that they’re not anti-religious, but that it is private and should be practiced privately. It in essence takes religion and the Judeo-Christian values that our country was founded on and throws them out the window in favor of secularism.
It would be the same thing as saying that you like art and music. You think it’s great. Butt it should be private and should only be expressed in museums and concert halls. That’s how ridiculous these people are. That is how they view religion. Obama is no more a Christian than I am a Muslim. He’s a liar.
This unbelievable assault on the Catholic Church is an assault on religious freedom for everyone. This kind of trampling of the Constitution – if allowed to stand – will be used as a precedent for future trampling of rights.

Just read that muslims in the Hague are calling for a ban on dogs in public places so the 12% of citizens who are muslims can have “freedom” to practice their religion and not see dogs. So, even calls for “freedom” in public places can be hidden means of oppression.

I know someone who has been out of work for over 2 years. He ran out of benefits last October. He is no longer considered one of the unemployed. How many of those who reduced the unemployed number are people who were dumped off unemployment benefits? Next month, the drop of unemployment may be the same as people who no longer have a job and also do not have unemployment coverage is going to rise.

Great. I was watching a cooking show a few days ago. The chef was making a “healthy” pizza with her daughter. They used zuccini to make smiley faces and other cute child-loving designs on the pizza. When the show was ending, the chef and her little daughter put the pizza in just the right spot for the camera to show how adorable it was. That’s when the adorable little tyke – who was in her mother’s arms – hugged her mother really tight and uttered the unexpected, unplanned words, “Mommy, I’m not going to eat that!.”
Of course, her mother and all those out of sight burst into a hale of laughter. Butt, it makes a great point. Children like pizza and it can be really healthy or really awful (hello vegan veggie pizza). And it’s about balance and choice and knowing your own children. This little girl lives on a wonderful farm with dozens of acres and undoubtedly plays outside all the time so a cheese pizza for her would most likely be quite reasonable.
Honestly, zuccini pizza……….
