I have to laugh at women in the Progressive movement. All it takes to get their vote is a “bright, shiny object” dangled in front of them and a smile. Never mind the foreclosure rates are on the rise. Never mind that the Treasury Secretary told Congress BO’s budget is “unsustainable. Never mind the economic future of our country and our kids and their kids is a very bleak one. Never mind that billions have been wasted on BO’s handpicked ”green” energy projects. Never mind the unemployment rate is closer to 15% then the 8.3% reported. Never mind his donors and cronies are getting wealthier off the backs of the taxpayers. Never mind the nanny state is taking over every aspect of our lives. Never mind the majority of Americans, 66%, hate Obamacare. Never mind the mess BO has made of the ME and foreign policy. None of it counts because BO is “sexy”! While the Prog women are busy drooling and playing grabass with BO, his disdain for them is obvious. He doesn’t believe they’re educated enough to see the damage he’s actually doing. I don’t think they’re smart enough either, they just keep staring at all those bright, shiny objects…and, that “sexy” BO. All the while, he’s just laughing at you.

I don’t understand how the foreign media can have on-scene accounts and video of MO and our national media doesn’t. I know the argument of “is she a public figure or a private figure” but her actions and her use of public financed things make her a public figure who shouldn’t be protected from scrutiny.
I’m trying to imagine why on earth MO can’t fly commercial. She could fly under a false name or not. Does security think if the people on the plane find out it’s her they’ll lose their minds and act crazy? Who knows who’s flying first class anyway. That’s how most of our public figures, from politics to entertainment to sports fly on their personal journeys.
Anyone who’s been to NewYork or LasVegas or Los Angeles or some tony getaways has probably seen a few “famous” people in the restaurants or theatres or in the casinos. No one has gone nutty because of it.
Anyway, I don’t believe for one second that the Obama campaign people were OK with this trip but were cringing at the bad press she was going to get over it. She does what she wants, and I believe all the stories about her pushing BO and getting him to do stupid stuff.

Sure they’re paying personal expenses, but what did it cost the taxpayers to fill up her personal RV ? The travel and hotel expenses for her advance security detail ? The flight crew ?
All for a bunny slope experience that any of the East Coast ski areas could give them? Or if there’s snow at Camp David, she could cross country ski, which is a better workout for a beginner, especially one of her body type, it really works those buns

African Americans / Blacks have had the assistance of affirmative action only since 1961 and the Voting Rights Act wasn’t signed until 1965 – approximately 50 and 47 years respectively.
This is a short time to even the playing field after 100′s of years of disenfranchisement. We have done well in this short span of time but as long as the people that instituted, enforced or supported those Jim Crow laws and discriminatory practices are still alive, Blacks still have an uphill battle.
I’m speaking of the the lack of equal education even after the Brown vs the Board of Education ruling. Look at what happened in Prince Edward County, Virginia in 1959. Over 1,700 Black students, many still alive today, were crippled by the lack of formal education when the schools were closed for 5 years.
Does the Black community have problems? Of course. Does the Black community have members that should and can do better, of course. But the members that are not doing what they should are a small minority regardless of what the far right preaches.
We have black-trash just as you have white trash. Do I immediately lump you in with white trash, no. I expect that Black people would appreciate you extending the same courtesy to us.

Barack thinks he’s invincible and can do no wrong because of the very fact that he is the first black president. He thinks it gives him the right to skirt the constitution at every chance. MOO thinks she is entitled as the first black first lady to throw it in peoples faces that they are black, not poor, and are the new stereotype of a modern black family. The only thing she shows is how uncouth she really is. She might be well mannered but she has no sense of limits.

If any group should be angry with this President, it should be the Black community who has suffered more losses than the rest of us.

I’m sure Charlie Rangel’s tax evasion and caribbean vacations have done wonders for the black community. So have Mooch’s 16 vacations, Maxine Waters demented rants and funneling tax money to her husbands bank have also lifted many blacks out of poverty…I’m sure. Rising unemployment, rising gas prices, more homeless, more dependency on foreign oil, more living on food stamps, more divisive strategies from media and poiticians alike, more illegal immmigration, more voter fraud, more unConstitutional arrogance and lawlessness..all courtesy of our ‘elite’ in Washington. That benefits all of us, not just the black community/sarc.

Though this thread is slipping into the past, I wanted to return to comment on a post put here by RacistB. It was an essay of sorts that sought to prove that people dislike Obama because he is half-black, among other assertions.
I should have commented at the time on how sad it made me feel to read it because it was a seamless piece of fiction. Just like the people who can provide dense evidence that spaceships are snatching up humans and cows and doing biological research, hate-mongers such as the author of that piece live in such a sealed world that the fresh air of truth can never penetrate their minds. They turn around and around in their little circle of inaccurate assumptions and think they performing an action of value.
And how sad that people come upon their rantings and swallow them in place reasoned thought. They, too, are then drawn into the stifling world of false reasoning and the anger that is cultivated in them binds them ever more closely to the purveyor and makes them more frightened of the world outside the circle.
