To date the Obama re-election campaign has raised 140 million, in 2008 he raised 795 million. The multitude of campaign functions they attend are signs of desperation from a campaign that can’t run on BO’s weak record. Democrats say Americans who don’t like Obamacare are stupid. They forget to tell you the “stupid Americans” are in the majority, 52% to 39% want it scrapped, that includes 1 out of 5 Democratic voters. They want you to believe BO is “laser focused” on jobs, again not true. The only people benefiting from BO’s jobs program are public unions and private unions who support him, especially the AFL-CIO, UAW, SEIU. We all know how well that worked out. Small business is being crushed through the policies and regulations of the EPA and NLRB while crony capitalism runs rampant throughout his Administration. 66% of “stupid Americans” have the audacity to question BO’s decision on the XL Pipeline. For some strange reason those “stupid Americans” actually believe it will create jobs. While the poor get poorer and the middleclass loses wealth, the Snob-in-Chief and the First Diva party on living in a fantasy bubble on the taxpayer dime. Yes, he’s beatable, “stupid Americans” are getting fed up with the campaign fluff shoved down our throats by the media. We know when we’re being duped. Fool me once, shame on you. A super easy way to show even the people challenged by literacy issues, or by amounts larger than their entitlement checks, what is going on. It’s too bad a lot of people don’t care enough to see and check out what is really going on financially. The numbers are just getting worse …. can we even trust these number???

I don’t believe these are the real numbers either….they cook the books like they edit the list of items to include in calculating inflation. If an item’s price goes too high they substitute an inferior, lower cost item.
If chuck roast sell for too high, they sub ground beef. In theory that may be true that people switch to lower cost items but inflation is not supposed to measure WHAT people buy but the real price of items over time.
We have some items that have dropped in price astronomically. A calculator with square root + arithmetic sold for around $250 in 1973. Now they are embedded in a device that costs less in today’s dollars, but a device that handles almost everything your old laptop, camera, VCR, camcoder, and telephone used to do in a clunky way. I’m not sure if they have hi tech items in their inflation basket of goods and services… butt I don’t think they should.
Inflation should be calculated on the things we have to buy on a regular basis. By not including food and energy costs it will always look better than it it. It’s ridiculous to say there is no inflation if I have to substitute ground beef for roast. It’s inflation that’s making me do that! Duh!

I dislike both women’s choice in dresses. Moo’s color of her dress couldn’t have been uglier. Dirt-brown?? Really? If she wanted a nice brown color, a richer chocolate or espresso shade would have looked much better. This shade looks like dried out brown dirt, a sort of faded dessicated brown. Jill’s dress looks like she is channeling her inner flapper. All those ruffles are not attractive at all, IMO. The only saving grace of her dress is that I think the blues/greens are a pretty choice of color and flatter her complexion. Maybe a dress in similar colors/shades but a totally different style would have looked far better.

Hey Birdies! I have a few questions for all of you former Democrats. What drew you to the Dem party in the first place? How did you feel about Independents and Republicans when you were activly Dems? Was it BO that pushed you away, or were you considering leaving before the election?
I’m really curious what has brought us all together. As a lifelong Republican, I know why I’m here. Not trying to start up anything, just inquiring.
Let’s be frankly honest; a Catholic is someone who’s birth family was Catholic and a Jew is someone who was born into a Jewish family. Same thing with political parties; my family was and is part of the Dem party, my community was mostly Dem and mostly blue-collar union.
The Dem party of old is nothing like the progressive (commie-like) party of today. The Repubs used to be a straight-laced rich man’s club but is now the party of freedom from government fiat and a belief in the rights guaranteed by our constitution.
I’m still a registered Dem, no particular reason. I vote for whomever in whichever party, party affiliation makes no difference to me. I’ll be voting for whomever the Repubs put up against BO because I believe that he is the most dangerous person to sit in the White House in our history.
My grandmother voted democrat even though her beliefs were more in line with the Republicans and Libertarians. When I asked her why she voted with the Dems, she said it was because her father had been a Dem and had raised her to vote Dem. It never dawned on her to vote as her conscience dictated.
She only voted as she wished in one election before she passed. I’m glad she had the chance.
My sisters vote Dem because my parents were devout Yellow Dog Democrats. I am a registered Democrat and have not voted Clinton or Obama, Feinstein or Boxer. I now voted for the person and his/her loyality to America, the consitution, against illegal immigration, against welfare and all social programs that keep “the man tied to socialism without a chance to be a self-sufficient individual.” I believe the Dim-o-cats now have become so entrenched into Marxism that there is no road back for them to become the old Democratic party that my parents loved, served and were dedicated to for all their adult lives. As Reagan said, “I didn’t leave the Democratic Party, they left me.”

When I move to Laughin, I probably won’t register as a Democrat. If the Tea Party was an actually party to register as a voter, that would be my choice for now.
My family, too, were all Democrats. I was a Democrat until it actually came time to vote. Reagan had my best interests at heart, though I wouldn’t tell my family.
Just two years ago, my brother switched parties. He became leery of the money trails, and decided being a Democrat wasn’t for him.
I left before the 2008 election…almost 6 years now. The more I saw where the Dems were heading, the less I liked it…The condescension of people who thought they were better then others wasn’t a good fit for me. 2008 was the final straw when I saw no difference between the two parties and the Dem mantra became “Our evil is better than their evil”. Went dormant for awhile then the Tea Party woke me back up and realized I shared more with them than there were differences.
I loved peace marches and helping less fortunate folks, but somewhere it got out of hand. Peace marches turned into OWS (same hapless organizers) and less fortunate folks became a goal, especially under Obama. It’s his voting base now.
I’m an independent now. I have no allegiance to any political party.
I was a life long Democrat because I was raised to be one. During the campaign before the 2008 election, I quit the party. I could not support BO because I thought he was an empty suit with at very serious narcissism problem. Since then, the conduct of the Democrats, (Obamacare, etc) was absolutely dispicable to me. As it stands now, they can never redeem themselves, especially after shoving Obamacare down our collective throats. My family is very very upset with me because of this (and other issues). Some of the Rebublicans do not thrill me either, however, come November I will vote Republican for everything. I don’t need these people telling me what I can or cannot eat, or whether I am worthy of medical care because of my age, (I am 57), etc. etc. I also find the Moooch to be the most disgusting “person” (term used loosely) to ever be First Lady. She makes me want to hurl.
I don’t post often, but I just had to answer these very good questions posed by Adrian, and say thank you, I have been curious about the same thing for quite a while.
I grew up in a liberal college town and was a Democrat because I thought they were for the “little guy.” But I also had more patriotic love of my country than I ever saw a Democrat express. Then I spent time in graduate school and did not pursue a Ph.D. partly because I could not bear the political correctness that was blossoming on campus. Little did I think that that idiocy would follow me out into the real world.
And when it did, I could no longer be a Democrat.
Though I feel myself to be between the parties, the Dems worry me more because of their perpetual adolcescent thinking and their belief that they are smarter than the Founders of our nation.
Let’s get the affirmative actrion going and fill the educational programs for teachers with anyone that is breathing, can get someone else to do the course work, and roll the teachers out like a paper mill, into the classroom, regardless that they were not college material, never had a real desire to be teachers, or are just looking for something to do after retiring from state and federal jobs, or even better, get minority people off the couch, even if they are obviously not socially or educationally fit to be teachers.
