Freedom and independence are the foundation of this great country. President Obama is chipping away at both. He thinks he can do it little by little and we will not notice. Of course we notice it, we saw it coming even before he was elected.
The fact that Obama is destroying the country as we know it is on my mind all the time. After that is illegal immigration. The Obama Administration must not be allowed to grant citizenship to the millions of people who came to this country illegally. There are thousands of vicious criminals among these millions. It will take years to do proper background checks. The right to a US Citizenship must not be given away to any criminals. And illegal aliens are criminals no matter how Obama, Janet Napolitano, and Nancy Pelosi are trying to spin it.
At best these illegals should get permanent resident status. Period. Nothing more. They do not need to be citizens to work and function in this country. I have been here on a green card for over 30 years. The only thing I can’t do is vote or serve on a jury. The illegals should not be allowed to travel with US passports – we may never know who among them are part of some sleeper cells and will become terrorists. I don’t agree with Janet Napolitano at all – these people are and will be criminals. We cannot put 12 – 30 million people in jail or spend the billions to ship them home, but let’s not reward them either with a US citizenship.
I’m interested in politics, economy, architecture, travel, all sciences, health & disease, psychology, health reform, unemployment, history, education, people, and most of all: daily news and dogs. My dog has never learned to fetch the newspaper because I don’t get one – I get my news from many online sources. I believe in God and trust very few people. So I will be blogging about something related to my areas of interest; more about me in the 2nd comment. I developed software long enough to retire, so I am no longer interested in work but the current unemployment is something I am keeping track of, hoping that something will change the dreadful situation around. I am very disappointed that Obama’s plans are not working, but I did not like his plans to begin with. Especially his plans to end foreclosures was not going to work at all or not soon enough.
On the lighter side I will blog about Michelle Obama, our current FLOTUS, keeping track of all history making events and what she wears. The media is totally loyal to her fashion icon status no matter how ridiculous her outfits are. I used to blog about Obama and politics but it was getting very depressing and I started to feel hopeless. So I take my frustrations out on Michelle Obama and she will get from me the same treatment that Sarah Palin gets from the left wingnuts.
Between unemployment and foreclosures this country is falling apart. Lives are ruined. Families are broken up. People are suffering in too many ways - it is just unbearable to think about it too much. It is a sign of the times – a man drives his car off the cliff to reach the Grand Canyon at terminal velocity. At least he did not take anyone for a ride with him.

I lived in 9 EU countries. I was fortunate to have parents moving around.
I love Europe for the different cultures, traditions, languages, and their differences in architecture, all those old things several hundred years old. I miss the truly beautiful little towns, you can only find something like that in EU. But it is so crowded now that I would not want to live there. Cost of living is much higher than here too. So I could not afford to move back.
USA is a fantastic country, and I feel almost like a citizen since I have lived here for so long. I never got into politics until Obama showed up, I don’t know why but I thought right away that he is a Marxist.
What chance is there that amnesty would NOT end up in citizenship now that the DEMs control senate?
Why are they not even talking about alternatives like guest worker permits, or greencards?

Illegals are a real threat to our security – the drug cartels are already moving across the border and spreading out to build their distribution networks, and with their money they can start large scale corruption and violence in USA, I am sure of it. There is already enough corruption and violence in this country. I can’t believe that Hillary blamed the drug crazy US citizens for the violence in Mexico.
Just now one of the cartels attacked police in 8 MX cities – they are escalating their violence all the time. I live pretty close to the MX border and I would hate to move away because of the illegals and their crime.

I think we do have a problem with immigration, but it’s a different group that really concerns me, though both groups do have the letter M at the beginning of their names. And one is a nationality and the other purports to be a religion.

Which group do you mean? I come from Scandinavia and I am in shock that Sweden will have Muslim majority by 2050. Living at the AZ MX border I worry about Mexicans just flooding across the border when the violence gets to be too mucg for them. How would Obama handle that?
I love AZ but living within 48 hr walking distance from the border is a bit too stressful with the news getting worse from Mexico. Their gangs are crossing the border and setting up for violence in USA… it is just a matter of time when the violence starts here.

Most of the blog is about tracking what Michelle Obama actually wore or has done because the media does not report it accurately. We are basically fed up with media hype about Michelle being the fashion icon for the world. But the main topic is politics: to expose Obama and his minions out to destroy this great nation. We cannot let the welfare folks re-elect him!! The country cannot survive 4 more years of Obama NOT doing anything that is GOOD for the country. To celebrate our 10,000 comments (we should get there today or tomorrow), I finally changed the theme to something easier on the eyes, and did some spring cleaning. When I first started this blog I did not get any comments so I did not see until much later how comments were handled in the previous theme.
I like the comments better with the avatar next to the name, the posts are listed always with a comment link at the top, and the tags at the bottom – I wish I could eliminate the tags altogether – or show them only if a link is clicked.
I did not realize until all the changes were done that typing in a comment would always be at the bottom of the page, not under the comment getting the reply. After submitting the comment, you will see it displayed in the right place. You can hack around this if necessary by copying all or part of what you want to see into the reply box.
Let me know if that makes commenting difficult ~ I hope the theme designer can change that.

I live in Kentucky, and decided over a year ago to work on getting our congressman out of office. He’s kind of an Al Gore knockoff, but not as smart. Snark is my weapon of choice, which is why I was drawn to your blog. A good “snark attack” makes many things bearable!

Oh my! I happened upon your blog and web site here after doing a Google search for “Michelle Obama’s wigs”. My homemaker (I’m a senior with physical disabilities) happens to be an African American woman and we were watching Michelle Obama on the Oprah show this morning. Mrs. Obama is calling attention to all the military families in this country, many of whom struggle on a daily basis with mothers becoming caregivers for their injured soldier husbands while they are also taking care of their children and families.
You all seem dedicated to “dishing” Mrs. Obama and that certainly is your right. Do you have anything positive to say about what she is to doing to help military families, many of whom seem to be forgotten by many in the U.S. ??
Yes we do point out some of the things, and the fact that she is doing something. But EVERYTHING that this Obama regime does is self-serving. By now you must have found out that Obama is reducing veteran’s benefits, especially medical care which they so desperately need, and cutting back on defense budgets to weaken the nation and basically give pink slips to military.
And the Dems were crying about the GOP throwing granny under the bus!! While they full well knew that ObamaCare eliminates Medicare Advantage plans which 12 million seniors are counting on for getting better healthcare – while paying higher premiums – and to have an out of pocket yearly limit, often as low as $2000. These plans offer other benefits that Medicare does not. Everyone has aging parents or grandparents and I HOPE EVERYONE UNDERSTANDS THIS TIME that OBAMA is the WRONG PERSON to occupy the White House.
Obama stole $8 BILLION from Health and Human Services in order to keep these plans going so that the seniors would not find out about it UNTIL AFTER THE ELECTION. He has not had a budget for three years, another scandal which does not seem to bother anyone.
The Medicare Advantage plans were suppose to end by year end and the 12 million seniors would have had to sign up for medicare ONE month BEFORE the election … of course that would have been another disaster … this time for Obama himself. So of course Obama had to steal the money to pay for the plans to last until after the election.
When people talk about ObamaCare taking away money form Medicare they do not explain HOW IT IS DONE! Obama might as well eliminate Medicare because that “health plan” is useless unless seniors have a supplemental insurance policy – which most of the cannot afford or cannot get due to age related health issues.
So talk to your older folks and make sure they understand. A lot of Hispanic seniors may not even know about this because they may think Obama is “working for them”. HE IS NOT. OBAMA is working for OBAMA and his cronies.
